Sharing is Caring....

Barely Political

Good reading...

There were some great posts over at DearAuthor this week including a bitchslap by Jane (Note to the internet - don't threaten a lawyer with 'libel' unless you are another lawyer and you know what that means).

Here's a totally awesome guest review by Kelly on Dear Author. (Warning: Don't eat/drink while reading this review. Trust me, your monitor will thank you.)

- Since that review was so full of awesomesauce, it made me think fondly of ...

If you know of others, just let me know.

Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop…

Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop

Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop!
Hosted by Riverina Romantics

What makes a hunky hero?
Looks? Charisma? Intelligence?
All of the above?
Or something else that can't be identified other than...
"I know it when I see it" ?

I have to admit, when writing, it definitely helps to give my characters an avatar. Not only does that help visualize them, but also helps in the overall characterization. Once of my favorite avatars is David Gandy. Pretty easy to see why. :) In fact, he's the hunky hero in my story loosely based on Red Riding Hood.
(Hint: he's not the hunter LOL)

But are looks the definitive answer to what makes a hunky hero? Absolutely not! Hunky heroes can come in all shape(shifters?) and sizes. Share some of your favorite hunky heroes.

Giveaway*: One winner gets an e-copy of Water of Life, e-copy of my short story Cold Hard Magic, & e-copy of Seduced by the Wolf by the awesome Terry Spear (this item will be gifted via ARe and requires an account, subject to availability).
*Open international. If there's enough international comments, I'll give a second copy of Water of Life to an international entrant, so let me know if you're (INT).

To enter** just answer the following question in the comments (be sure to let me know what file format you prefer):
**Get an extra entries if you add Water of Life to your TBR list on Goodreads and if you follow me on twitter

"Who is you hunky hero?"
(Book or film)

My answer?
I have two heroes 'atypical' heroes
(not intended to be hunky but they sure work for me).

Jean-Luc Picard
Star Trek: TNG
Javier Bardem
(Perfect as Dain from Lord of Scoundrels)

The Guild...& Wil Wheaton's Large Sword

I don't know why it took me so long, but I finally got around to watching The Guild. (Hilarious!!!) If you haven't checked this quirky, web comedy series GO DO IT NOW!!! Even DH (darling husband) got in to it, especially with the guest shots of Wil Wheaton. (You're wondering about the sword bit aren't you?)

That's the always lovely, Felicia Day and yes, he's wearing a kilt (and carrying a might sword).

Not my most favorite day of the year....

I confess. I'm one of 'those' people. I don't like April Fool's because for the most part I think it's taking the mick out of someone (gotta love Urban Dic) in usually some mean spirited ways. (Man those childhood traumas carry weight!) But I do love it when there are good April Fool's pranks and Google and Sony did some good ones.

 Tap it everywhere!
Morse is back, baby!

 It's freaking adorable!
